Responsibilities

AutomotiveTechnician:

  1. Diagnose and Repair Vehicles:

    • Utilize diagnostic tools and procedures to identify issues with assigned vehicles.
    • Perform thorough inspections and tests to diagnose problems across all areas and systems of vehicles.
    • Execute timely and accurate repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  2. Documentation and Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with team members to accurately document recommendations, diagnoses, and repairs performed on vehicles.
    • Communicate effectively with service advisors and other staff to ensure clear and concise information exchange regarding vehicle status and repair needs.
  3. Stay Updated with Manufacturer's Updates and Training:

    • Remain current with manufacturer's updates, technical service bulletins, and recalls relevant to assigned vehicles.
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay abreast of industry advancements.
  4. Perform Road Tests and Quality Control:

    • Conduct road tests on vehicles following repairs to verify proper functionality and address any remaining issues.
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure that all work performed meets dealership and manufacturer standards for safety and performance.
  5. Maintain Clean and Organized Workspace:

    • Keep the shop area neat, clean, and organized to facilitate efficient workflow and ensure a safe working environment.
    • Account for all dealership-owned tools and equipment, maintaining proper care and storage to prevent loss or damage.
  6. Additional Responsibilities:

    • Fulfill any other duties as assigned by management or team leaders, such as assisting with special projects, training new technicians, or supporting other departments as needed.

By adhering to these responsibilities, Automotive Technicians contribute to the overall success of the dealership by delivering high-quality service and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Automotive Technician

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Proficiency with tools and machanical aptitude
  • Possess ablity to accurate diagnois mechanical automoitve problems and make recommedation
  • A good work ethic is a must!
  • Factory training, ASE certifiations or prior dealership experience is a plus!
  • Must be able to keep up with a fast-paced environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident
  • Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen
